Knowledge Brain
Look up the passage in your own documents, with its source.
When a customer asks a question, Knowledge Brain looks for a matching passage in the documents you upload and shows it with its source. If no passage matches closely enough, nothing is shown.

Current limits
- Retrieval is only meaningful with a production embedding model. The development default is a placeholder.
- Access controls on stored knowledge have been tested locally only.
Illustrative interface — fictional demonstration data.
The passage
The passage, not a paraphrase.
When a rule needs a fact, Knowledge Brain returns a passage from a document you uploaded, with the document title and heading on it. It combines a match on meaning with a match on exact wording, so a policy name or a product code can find its passage as well as a plain-language question.
- Upload the product and policy documents you own
- Document title and heading shown with the passage
- Runs as a Cortex rule action

Your control
Off until you switch it on.
Knowledge Brain is off by default. Retrieval stays suppressed until your organisation turns it on and configures real embeddings, and it retrieves only from documents your organisation has uploaded.
- Off by default
- Suppressed until real embeddings are configured

When there is no answer
Quiet when nothing fits.
A passage is shown only when it matches closely enough. Otherwise nothing is shown. Knowledge Brain returns the passage as written and does not compose an answer.
- No close match, no suggestion
- The passage shown as written
The rest of the platform.
Common questions
Does Knowledge Brain answer from the open web?
No. It retrieves from documents the organisation already owns.
Is it on by default?
No. It is off by default. Embeddings have to be configured before a passage can appear.
How good is the retrieval?
Not measured. Meaning-based matching is only useful with a production embedding model configured, and retrieval quality has not been evaluated.
Who can see the uploaded documents?
Access controls on documents have been tested on a local stack only.
